Rally in Celebration or Protest at 5:30pm on the Day of the Decision
When the CA Supreme Court announces their decision on Proposition 8, we must act! We are calling you to join us for a rally in celebration or protest on the day of the decision. Protests will occur nationwide and our voices will be heard! We hope that we will come together in celebration, but must know that even in celebration we have many more battles to win and need to unite on the day of decision in one loud voice.

D-Day Placer County: Power and Healing

Where: Placer County Courthouse (5:30pm) & Sierra Foothills UU (7:30pm),
Courthouse is at 101 Maple St., UU Church is at 190 Finley St., Auburn , CA 95603
When: 5:30pm on the Day of Decision (we will have 24 hours notice to announce this event)

On the Day of Decision (when the Supreme Court announces whether it will overturn Prop 8) we will gather in Auburn for a rally at the Placer County Courthouse at 5:30pm to show our POWER in celebration for our victory or anger at our loss, whichever it may be. We will then march over the the Sierra Foothills Unitarian Universalist Church at 7:30pm for a HEALING gathering to mourn our loss and plan next steps to regain marriage equality, or to weep for joy and plan the healing and bridge building needed with our neighbors who oppose us.

* We are seeking Safety Monitors trained in non-violent activism to help with the Rally
* We are seeking Clergy and Counselors trained in grief counseling to help with the Healing gathering
