As we all wait for the California Supreme Court to rule in the historic legal challenges seeking to overturn Prop 8, the work of fighting for equal relationship recognition, including the freedom to marry, continues across the state and the nation.
Over the next 6 weeks, a series of Town Hall meetings at LGBT Centers across California will provide opportunities to gather in person and share information. Hear what the experts think may happen with the Prop 8 cases and learn about some of the organizing that is happening in our state. And everyone will have the opportunity to weigh in on next steps. The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center will host the first Town Hall meeting • Wednesday, April 1 from 7-9:30 p.m. • Village at Ed Gould Plaza • Two of the Southern California plaintiffs, Robin Tyler and Diane Wilson, will reflect on their experience • Kate Kendall, the executive director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, will discuss the legal challenges to Prop 8 Go and let your voice be heard! |
