Rally in Celebration or Protest at 6:00pm on the Day of the Decision

WHAT IS IT?

When the CA Supreme Court announces their decision on Proposition 8, we must act! We are calling you to join us for a rally in celebration or protest on the day of the decision. Protests will occur nationwide and our voices will be heard! We hope that we will come together in celebration, but must know that even in celebration we have many more battles to win and need to unite on the day of decision in one loud voice.

Tuesday, May 26 @ 6pm, Santa Ana, Peaceful Rally at the Old Orange County Courthouse
(historic, red, sandstone and granite building dedicated in 1901) 211 W. Santa Ana Blvd.
(bet. N. Broadway and N. Sycamore) Santa Ana, CA 92701

This event is being planned and sponsored by a coalition of
OCEC, ECCO, Laguna Beach Dem Club, The Center OC, HRC, Harvey Milk Democratic Club.

We will gather next to the Old Orange County Courthouse at 6-pm, and after a few speakers,
we will march to the Plaza of the Flags (see map, below) to continue our rally.

We are planning 3 days of events, beginning with the Day of Decision. If you sign up as a member on our social networking site, you will get updates about our activities via email.

Time: 6:00 pm
Place: Old Orange County Courthouse
211 W. Santa Ana Blvd., Santa Ana, CA, 92701

March:

March Route: After a few speakers, we are marching from the Old Courthouse on Broadway, North to Civic Center Dr.; then West to Ross; then South to the walkway leading (Westerly) to Plaza of the Flags (an internal plaza not bounded by a city street). After our rally we will continue South on Ross to 4th St.; then East to Broadway, returning to the Old Courthouse from where we will disperse.
