We had a fantastic little rally. Small but ROWDY. Lots of supportive honking and cheering from passersby. But the BEST part was when the Bloomington Transit Hybrid Bus driver stoped at our Day of Decision Rally to hand us oragami peace cranes made out of RAINBOW PAPER. Absolutely Incredible! He stopped on our corner (by the courthouse) and did this 3 or 4 times! I ask you is there ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE ENTIRE MIDWEST MORE LGBT FRIENDLY THAN BLOOMINGTON INDIANA?! Only in Bloomington! One of the best places in the country for LGBT people to live! We have the 5th largest LGBT population per capita in the US! Our rally was a rowdy morale booster and this was the best morale booster of all! The public was extremely supportive as only they can be in our town - honking, giving us thumbs up and yelling support. Bicyclists rang bells and waved. Only 3 or 4 rednecks giving us the thumbs down or finger. We need to do this more often!
